ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION
OF THE POLISH LIBRARY BUILDING ASSOCIATION
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That we, Bronislaw Dombrowski, B. Sobolewski, Wincenty Scibor, officers of The Polish Library Building Association, and S. Stefaniak, J. Hacuk, Jan Strychalski, trustees of said The Polish Library Building Association duly chosen and elected in accordance with the usage and regulations of said The Polish Library Building Association, and duly qualified and acting as such, do hereby make and subscribe written Articles of Incorporation in triplicate, for the purpose of forming a benevolent, literary, educational, scientific and charitable society as follows
ARTICLE 1.
The name assumed by the corporation and by which it shall be known ie THE POLISH LIBRARY BUILDING ASSOCIATION.
ARTICLE 2.
The duration of this corporation shall be perpetual and unlimited.
ARTICLE 3.
The object, business and pursuit of said corporation shall be the development of the physical and mental capacities of its members or other and the formation of better acquaintances and closer association between its members and the development of architecture and mechanics without profit to said corporation or to the members thereof.
ARTICLE 4.
The estimated value of property and money possessed by said society at the time of making its Articles of Incorporation is Five hundred ($500) Dollars, and the source of revenue and income of said society is from membership fees and contributions from the individual members and from any other persons.
ARTICLE 5.
The title of the officers and trustees making those Articles is as follows Bronislaw Dombrowski, President; B. Sobolewski, Treasurer; Wincenty Scibor, Secretart; S. Stefaniak, Trustee; J. Hacuk, Trustee; Jan Strychalski, Trustees.
ARTICLE 6.
The mode and time of election of their successors in office is as follows The President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary are elected at the first Tuesday in December of each year, and the officers so elected assume the duties of their respective office on the first of January following their election. The officers are elected by the vote of the members of the society at the first regular meeting held in December of each year, Five trustees are also elected at the first regular meeting in December of each year and assume the duties of their office on the first of January following. Said trustees are elected by the members at the regular meeting, each member being entitled to one vote each office to be filled.
ARTICLE 7.
The location of said society is Portland, Oregon.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF we have hereunto set our hands and seals in triplicate this 8th day of July, 1911, pursuant to direction and authority of the members of said society.
